Carex is partnering with a Financial Services industry partner to hire an IT Security Analyst in Madison, WI!

Summary

The IT Security Analyst will play a key role in protecting enterprise systems by monitoring, managing, and optimizing security tools to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment. This contract role will focus on operational security tasks, vulnerability management, and proactive incident response. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with a wide range of security platforms, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate across IT teams to strengthen security posture.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and manage enterprise security tools, including Cisco Secure Endpoint, Endpoint Privilege Manager, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Netskope, Proofpoint Endpoint & Email DLP, Cisco Vulnerability Management, Qualys, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, and Cisco Umbrella.
• Perform daily security monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, risk assessment, and remediation efforts.
• Investigate security alerts and suspicious activity, escalating incidents when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security processes, incidents, and configurations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align security configurations with best practices.
• Support security awareness and compliance initiatives.
  
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 3 years of IT Security or Cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise security tools, including those listed above.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and data loss prevention strategies.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: Security certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, CySA , or CEH.
• Preferred: Experience working in enterprise or large-scale IT environments.
