VP, Product Management & Innovation
Summary:
This role will own product management, development and innovation and be responsible for understanding the industry needs of their key customer segments, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion and driving innovation in a timely manner. This role will oversee all aspects of product development, from conception to launch, while fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. The role requires balancing short-term demands with long-term strategic vision to maintain competitive advantage and drive revenue growth.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with Industry Trends, Customer Demands and Company Goals & Objectives.
- Lead market research efforts to identify opportunities and validate product concepts.
- Manage budget and resource allocation for product development initiatives.
- Drive innovation of new and existing products by partnering with Industry Experts, Key Customers, Sales and Operations.
- Support the Voice of the Customer (VOC); what product solutions customers want and need.
- Support feasibility and functionality to introduce new processes and new products, utilizing supplier expertise when necessary.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure product success and team performance.
- Ensure product development processes align with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Present product strategies and progress to executive leadership and board members.
- Lead and mentor Research & Development Team across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Establish and maintain product development timelines and toll gates.
- Oversee product lifecycle management from ideation through launch and maintenance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering. MBA a plus. Must have at least 10-15 years in product development and product management, leading cross-functional teams with a proven track record of successful product launches and innovations. Must have experience in developing and executing product strategies, demonstrated success in building and scaling product teams. Other welcomed attributes, include:
- Experience with global product development and international markets.
- Track record of successful stakeholder management at executive level.
- Additional product management or innovation certifications are a plus.
- Understanding and/or experience with patents.
- Proficient in ERP system Business Central 365 a plus.
Salary : $200,000 - $220,000
