Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Controller located in Wyncote, PA. The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation and management of financial statements and reports, ensure the organization’s financial health through proper accounting practices, and deliver detailed financial analyses. The role includes monitoring budgets, managing financial reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, while supporting strategic decision-making with data-driven insights.
Salary: $76-110k
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and preparation of accurate and timely financial statements across all operating entities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, state-specific regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies
- Manage multi-state tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
- Establish and refine internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to support scalability
- Oversee revenue cycle reporting, including billing reconciliation for government-funded payer programs
- Supervise and develop accounting team members across locations
- Prepare financial analyses, dashboards, and reports for executive decision-making
- Support integration of new markets and entities into the company’s financial infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
- Multi-state and multi-entity experience required
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ADP or comparable payroll/HRIS platforms
- Track record of building or improving financial processes in a high-growth environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate financial data into business insights for non-financial stakeholders
