What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist position at Cardiovascular Medicine PLLC?
OBJECTIVE:
The Diagnostic CT Technologist position enables the facilitation of positive patient outcomes by performing all aspects of computed tomography, placing an emphasis on the quality of the procedures performed. This includes scan acquisition, scan processing, establishing venous access and contrast administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Graduated from accredited radiology technology program. Experience and demonstrated proficiency in CT angiography and intravenous access and contrast administration.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications: Current Illinois permit to practice as CT Technologist, BCLS certification required. AART or NMTCB board-certified preferred.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be evaluated based on the following areas:
Perform technically correct scanning and processing of patient studies, placing an emphasis on the quality of the procedures performed.
Consistently follow CT protocols.
Properly administer contrast agents according to contrast protocols.
Perform all quality control on CT equipment with appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
Consistently perform infection control of equipment after each patient encounter.
Assist with patient procedure preparation and recovery when necessary.
Assist in the coordination of patient procedures in an effort to optimize efficiency and minimize patient waiting.
Verify the provider order for the procedure and confirm the ordering diagnosis meets medical necessity.
Consistently and accurately perform all PACS related functions.
Attend required number of accreditation quality assurance meetings and participate in accreditation activities when necessary.
Complete encounter forms for procedures and submit to the charge entry workforce in a timely fashion.
Enter pertinent patient data in the clinical record.
Utilize effective documentation skills within the electronic medical record.
Complete Patient Flow Tracking in a timely fashion.
Identify and report all high-risk dependent relationships to prevent further physical and emotional harm.
Assist in the assurance of timely physician interpretation.
Assist in the ordering and maintenance of medical supplies.
Assist in the training and orientation of other CVM employees.
Provide adjunct care including but not limited to: Assist with transport of patients, using wheelchair or assist with ambulation to/from lobby, exam room or restroom, assist with transfers utilizing proper body mechanics, assist patient with personal cares as necessary and misc. housekeeping duties which may include cleaning and disinfecting to maintain a sanitary and germ-free environment.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $30.50 - $43.00/hr. based on experience
