Nuclear Tech - Baldwin County
Cardiology Associates is looking for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join or growing team in Baldwin County. Our team is committed to excellence, compassion, and innovation in patient diagnostics and treatment. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform and assist with all aspects of nuclear imaging operations. This is role is vital in delivering accurate diagnostic results to assist in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Education & Certification
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree).
- Current ARRT(N) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Nuclear) or CNMT certification (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist via NMTCB).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred in cardiac-focused practices.
Experience
- Prior experience in nuclear cardiology or general nuclear medicine strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in performing cardiac stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic) in conjunction with nuclear imaging.
- Familiarity with cardiac imaging protocols such as SPECT, gated studies, and myocardial perfusion imaging.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and safe handling in a hot lab environment.
- Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform quality control testing.
- Patient care skills, including IV insertion and monitoring during stress testing.
- Critical thinking and ability to respond in emergency situations during stress procedures.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with cardiologists, nurses, and patients.
