Responsible for promoting child abuse prevention services and parent leadership by educating the community, developing and maintaining community awareness events, and facilitating resource and referral activities.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the resource and referral hub.
- Responsible for organizing current and new community awareness events.
- Responsible for promoting and organizing parent leadership activities.
- Responsible for administering parent surveys.
- Responsible for administering protective factors assessments.
- Responsible for performing speaking engagements as needed.
- Responsible for attending community meetings, trainings, coalitions, and/or events as needed or assigned by the Director.
- Provide support and assistance to parent education activities.
- Engage the community through all social media platforms.
- Manage all social media platforms.
- Complete all necessary training according to the Children's Trust Account Grant requirements
- Enter all grant required activities into a quarterly database.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Often faced with complex legal and moral issues.
- Must have sound judgement and act as training indicates.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be outgoing and demonstrate interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to build professional relationships.
- Associate's Degree and/or certificate preferred in child development, child abuse prevention, or another related field.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical, and drug testing.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License.
- When talking, one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary.
- Required to work outside of the center (playing with children, light yard work, activities)
