Job Title: Billing Clerk
Reports To: Office Manager
Position Summary
The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle sales deals and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. This role verifies costs—including reconditioning and equipment add-ons—for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the Department of Licensing (DOL).
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process paperwork from the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department
- Prepare payoff checks for new vehicle purchases and trade-ins
- Verify deal costs, including reconditioning and add-ons, for accounting accuracy
- Prepare and submit legal transfer documentation to the DOL
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and non-discriminatory demeanor when interacting with the public
- Adhere to dealership policies, including harassment-free workplace and non-discrimination standards
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures (Compli system)
- Accurately track and record hours worked in accordance with company timekeeping policies
- Follow company dress code standards and wear employee ID badge daily
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and information
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Automotive accounting experience preferred
Compensation
- Pay Range: $25–$27 per hour
