As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate, driven leaders to join our team.Position Overview:We’re seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef to play a key leadership role across multiple venues within our NYC portfolio. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to menu development, drive kitchen performance, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and team culture.Key Responsibilities:Lead BOH operations including scheduling, inventory, ordering, and prep systemsMaintain a positive, productive kitchen culture that fosters learning, accountability, and excellenceUphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety (DOH compliance a must)Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring hourly kitchen staffContribute to seasonal menu planning and daily specials in alignment with concept and brandEnsure consistency and execution of all dishes during high-volume service   Qualifications:3–5 years of experience as Sous Chef or higher in fast-paced, upscale or chef-driven kitchensProven ability to manage and inspire teams in multi-unit or high-volume settingsDeep understanding of modern culinary techniques, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen systemsFinancial literacy for labor management and cost of goodsYears of experience with ordering and inventory managementExperience with relevant online restaurant management platforms (Margin Edge, Dinemarket and Toast)Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvementNYC DOH Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain)Spanish language skills a plusWe Offer:Competitive salary and bonus structurePaid time off and dining discountsOpportunities for advancement within a growing hospitality groupA collaborative and chef-driven cultureTo Apply:Please send your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your culinary experience and why you're a great fit for this role to lucas@vcrgroup.com.Join a team where your voice, vision, and leadership matter.
