Position Overview:
We’re seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef to play a key leadership role across multiple venues within our NYC portfolio. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to menu development, drive kitchen performance, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead BOH operations including scheduling, inventory, ordering, and prep systems
- Maintain a positive, productive kitchen culture that fosters learning, accountability, and excellence
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety (DOH compliance a must)
- Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring hourly kitchen staff
- Contribute to seasonal menu planning and daily specials in alignment with concept and brand
- Ensure consistency and execution of all dishes during high-volume service
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience as Sous Chef or higher in fast-paced, upscale or chef-driven kitchens
- Proven ability to manage and inspire teams in multi-unit or high-volume settings
- Deep understanding of modern culinary techniques, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen systems
- Financial literacy for labor management and cost of goods
- Years of experience with ordering and inventory management
- Experience with relevant online restaurant management platforms (Margin Edge, Dinemarket and Toast)
- Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement
- NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Spanish language skills a plus
