Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs in pediatric populations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent support and progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, session notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with clinical standards
- Stay current with best practices in pediatrics, early intervention strategies, and advances in speech therapy techniques
- Educate families about exercises and strategies to reinforce therapy goals at home
Experience
- Prior experience working with children is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing
- Proven ability to perform patient assessments accurately using medical terminology and clinical observation skills
- Knowledge of developmental milestones relevant to speech and language development in children
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation standards for patient care
