GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction for the Financial Accounting course that serves students in the Business Administration transfer degree, A.S. degrees for immediate placement in the workforce, and certificate programs. This is the second accounting course of a four-course sequence for all programs in the Business Department.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Provide on campus instruction utilizing educational technologies.
- Select and develop appropriate materials for class use to fulfill course learning outcomes.
- Track and assess student progress.
- Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (including Education).
- Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
- Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
- Experience in the accounting field.
- Ability to create a classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
- Skill in using technology to support the writing, teaching, and learning processes.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College-level teaching experience.
- Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
- Skill using MOODLE to support student learning.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale. Part-time, non-benefited MCCC Unit position.
