As Banquet Houseperson, this role is accountable to the setup, takedown and overall cleanliness of the banquets space. Must be able to multi-task and be able to think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.

The Banquet Houseperson position plays a major role in the hotel's Food & Beverage experience. As Banquet Houseperson, this role is accountable to the setup, takedown and overall cleanliness of the banquets space. Must be able to multi-task and be able to think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.

Essential Functions
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, restrooms, storage and service areas. Sets up for events, carries trays, serves guests, and cleans up at the event's conclusion.
- Set up includes: putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement, and putting up a buffet.
- Clean up includes: breaking down tables and taking tablecloths and linens to laundry.
- Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.
- Inspects linen, silver, china, and other items prior to using them.
- During events, duties include assisting servers and bartenders, transporting tables and equipment, reporting maintenance issues to management, and providing requested information to banquet patrons.
- Assembles temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures.
- Upsells venue services and amenities to guests.
- Assists audio-visual (A/V) set up of equipment, such as speakers and monitors.
- In some cases, may also be tasked with helping transport food, beverages, decorations and equipment to an off-premises event location.
- Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred.

- Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.
- This job operates behind the bar and other close quarters in close proximity to co-workers. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping and burns.
- Must be able to sit or stand in designated work area throughout the day based on business needs
- Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the designated work area
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach tables and kitchen in a timely manner
- Must be able to lift up to 25-30 lbs. frequently throughout shift, and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Requires grasping, writing, sitting or standing, moving about freely, using computer, repetitive motions, bending, reaching, crouching, and communicating effectively
- Must be willing and able to wash hands frequently throughout the shift
