Purpose:
The Pool Attendant delivers a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained poolside experience, ensuring guests can relax and enjoy their time with ease. Attentive, proactive, and service-driven, the Pool Attendant reflects Canoe Place Inn & Cottages’s commitment to thoughtful, guest-centered service in every interaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down of pool and lounge areas daily
- Provide attentive assistance to guests with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and general needs
- Maintain consistent stocking of towels, water, and amenities
- Ensure pool deck and surrounding areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Monitor for safety concerns and uphold all pool guidelines and standards
- Deliver a warm, engaging, and proactive guest experience throughout each shift
- Any other related tasks
Schedule & Availability:
Typical schedule: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, either:
- 4 days per week, or
- Split shifts across 5 days per week
Schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions and operational needs.
Weekend and summer holiday availability is required.
Seasonal position: May 10th – October 15th.
Education & Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- CPR certification required (certification can be provided through Canoe Place if needed)
- Strong guest service skills with a polished, hospitality-driven approach
- This is an outdoor position; candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun exposure, and occasional wind

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Work Authorization:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
