Responsibilities
- Monitor pool activities to ensure guest safety and enforce facility rules effectively.
- Perform regular pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, and equipment checks to maintain optimal water quality.
- Conduct thorough pool cleaning duties such as skimming debris, vacuuming, and scrubbing pool surfaces to keep the area pristine.
- Provide friendly assistance to guests by answering questions, offering directions, and ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring guest well-being at all times.
- Assist with setting up poolside amenities and organizing recreational activities or events as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, safety checks, and incident reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pool maintenance or related roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues if necessary.
- Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications is expected.
- Prior lifeguard experience or lifeguard certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling equipment or supplies safely.
- Excellent guest service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and standing for extended periods.
