What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Engineer — Candlewood Suites Panama City Beach, FL (IHG) Southeast position at Candlewood Suites?
andlewood Suites is part of the IHG family of brands. We're looking for a Hotel Engineer to keep the property running safely and smoothly — someone who takes pride in fixing things right the first time and doesn't let small issues turn into big ones.
What you'll do
Handle guest room and common area maintenance requests promptly and professionally, working off PMS-generated tickets to track and close out work orders. Conduct daily property walks and room inspections to catch issues before guests do. Support preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, and life safety equipment to meet IHG brand standards. Coordinate with housekeeping and front desk to minimize guest disruption during repairs. Maintain basic logs and documentation for safety and compliance. Assist with vendor coordination as needed and help monitor energy usage across the property.
What we're looking for
1-2 years of hotel engineering or building maintenance experience (hospitality preferred). Comfortable using a PMS system to manage and document work orders. Proactive — you notice things before they become guest complaints. Good communicator who can work across departments. Comfortable being on call occasionally, since hotels run around the clock. EPA 608 certification is a plus but not required.

Be part of a freshly converting IHG brand property. Stable, full-time position on a team serious about doing things right. Backed by IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest hospitality companies in the world.
