JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: ROOM ATTENDANT

DEPARTMENT: HOUSEKEEPING

REPORTS TO: INSPECTOR, EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER,HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR, ON DUTY MANAGER, AND/OR GENERAL MANAGER

LOCATION: Candlewood Suites-Cookeville, TN/Shreeji-SwamiCookeville, LLC

WEEKENDS MANDATORY

PURPOSE:

Responsibilities include, but are notlimited to, providing clean and immaculate hotel guest rooms that meet and/orexceed the expectations of the guest and the established standards of CandlewoodSuites-Cookeville, TN and H&N Hospitality Management.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Ensurecomplete guest satisfaction.

· Ensurecomplete guest safety.

· Must workalongside other team members in harmony.

· Must befriendly, helpful and well-groomed and dressed to standards complete with nametag always as stated in the Candlewood Suites-Cookeville, TN hand book andCandlewood Suites-Cookeville, TN standards.

· Make agreat first impression

· Keeps apositive attitude always and greets guests with a smile at every point ofcontact.

· Follows allsafety guidelines.

· Usesproper chemical handling procedures to include assurance of appropriate labelon every chemical dispenser.

· Responsiblefor cleaning bath tub, toilet, sink(s), walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, ACfilters, ledges, ceilings and floor surfaces using mops, sponges, brushesand/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.

· Responsiblefor stripping and making beds, changing bed linens which may require liftinglinen and terry weighing up to 40 lbs.

· Responsiblefor dusting all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelvesthoroughly.

· Responsiblefor replenishing amenities, linens and supplies in guest room.

· Responsiblefor pushing and pulling vacuum throughout entire room and corridors andemptying trash.

· Visuallyinspecting room for cleanliness and appearance that signifies completion of roomcleanliness, organization and a pristine guest ready appearance.

· Mustrespond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as an iron, safetyinstructions, assistance, direction and/or other information and/or supplyrequests.

ROOM ATTENDANT

· Mustreport all suspicious people’s activities or hazardous conditions to manager onduty and or front desk – immediately.

· Must tag,bag and deliver all found items in the employee working area to the front desk.Extreme attention to all valuable articles or items with immediate notificationof found item to the daily Manager on Duty and/or the General Manager.

· Responsiblefor ensuring that quality standards and service are maintained for Property,Product and People.

· Responsiblefor ensuring that quality standards are met for Mater expectations.

· Responsiblefor developing a critical eye for detail and perfection.

· Responsiblefor security of guest room and its contents.

· Responsiblefor follow up with guest complaints and requests.

· Responsiblefor following instructions and performing work as assigned by a supervisor ormanager.

· Responsiblefor cleanliness and immaculate organization of housekeeping, cleaning cart andassigned storeroom.

· Must havebasic knowledge of sanitation requirements / controls and applications of all chemicals.

· Must haveknowledge of Candlewood Suites-Cookeville, TN and H&N Hospitality Managementpolicies applicable to housekeeping, especially those relating to lost andfound, safety and security of guest and hotel property.

· Must havethe ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop and move continuously throughoutthe entire shift to clean all assigned rooms.

· Must beable to lift and carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

· Must beable to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours inlength.

· Thisposition requires sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, reaching andvisual acuity.

· Responsiblefor knowledge, review and training of all safety procedures as outlined in the CandlewoodSuites-Cookeville, TN safety manual.

· Must takebreaks in the designated areas along with waiting for a ride at the end of yourshift. Designated areas are: Employee break room & out-side at the back ofthe hotel.

· Must notstand congregating with other employees unless during meetings, including butnot limited to standing at the front desk.

· Must notsit waiting in business areas for transportation after completion ofshift.

· Adhere tothe designated 28-30 minute per room cleaning guide line. This will be reviewed daily after completionof each shift and/or in the morning huddle.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
