We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to help keep day-to-day accounting operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and ownership of their work.
Compensation: $55k - $65k/yr
Availability: Monday – Friday, flexible hours within 7am – 5pm (leaving no earlier than 4pm). Ability to work OT periodically required.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will support accounts payable operations by processing invoices, reviewing expense statements, making deposits, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter invoices and schedule payments
- Review, process, and approve expense statements and reimbursements
- Correspond with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Perform invoice reconciliations
- Input permit account entries
- Make bank deposits as needed
- Support vendor setup and insurance maintenance
- Research past-due invoices and billing questions
- Verify property ownership details related to billing
- Maintain accurate records and meet processing deadlines
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Work overtime as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Accounting degree or 6–12 months of accounts payable/accounting experience
- Experience processing a high volume of invoices or data accurately
- Experience that demonstrates high attention to detail
- Data entry and 10-key experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to stay organized and level-headed in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in work
