Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (Estimated based on market data and role scope)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations, including corporate credit card reconciliations, expense report auditing, and accounts payable processing. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with company policies, and timely resolution of payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with confidential financial information while collaborating across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review corporate credit card receipts and reconcile against monthly statements.
- Verify that credit card expenses comply with organizational policy and follow up with cardholders on missing or incomplete documentation.
- Audit expense reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide general accounts payable support and related administrative duties in support of broader finance team goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 to 2 years of accounting support experience or equivalent accounting coursework.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of accurate, thorough work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort following up with colleagues across the organization.
- Professional, discreet, and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative without being directed.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with accounts payable processes beyond expense reconciliation.
- Familiarity with corporate expense management systems.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven organization.
