The Senior Field Service Technician (Tier 3) is a highly skilled technical professional responsible for delivering advanced on-site support, infrastructure troubleshooting, and project implementation services for managed services clients. This role serves as a senior technical resource in the field, handling escalated issues, leading deployments, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience supporting multiple client environments, strong troubleshooting abilities across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity solutions, and the ability to independently manage complex technical projects from planning through completion. As a senior member of the technical team, the Tier 3 Field Service Technician mentors junior technicians, collaborates closely with Systems Engineers and Project Engineers, and plays a critical role in maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
Compensation: $80-$90K/yr DOE
Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Job Duties:
- Provide advanced onsite support for servers, workstations, networks, cloud environments, and business applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure issues.
- Lead onsite deployments, upgrades, migrations, office moves, and other IT projects.
- Install, configure, and support firewalls, switches, wireless networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for challenging technical issues.
- Maintain accurate ticket, network, and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding project status, issues, and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve client environments, security, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians and assist with escalated support requests as needed.
- Follow established MSP processes, standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications:
- 5 years of IT support experience, including 3 years in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced client environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Microsoft Certifications
- Azure Administrator Associate
- CCNA or VMware Certifications
