Title: Lower School Lunchroom Assistant
Reports to: Lower School Principal
Work Year: 10 months (Part-time)
Position Focus
The Lunchroom Assistant supports a safe, clean, and calm lunchtime environment for students. This role includes supervising students during lunch, assisting with transitions such as lining up and moving to and from the cafeteria, and helping maintain cleanliness and order. The Lunchroom Assistant fosters respectful behavior and positive social interactions among students.

- Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff and administration.

- Subscribe to and promote the statement of faith.
- All staff are ministers of Christ.
Position Summary:
- Supervise students during lunch to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Assist students with lining up and transitioning in and out of the lunchroom.
- Support students in following lunchroom routines and expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness by wiping tables, managing spills, and ensuring trash is properly disposed.
- Encourage respectful interactions among students.
- Address minor conflicts and refer significant concerns to appropriate staff.
- Help create a calm and welcoming atmosphere in the lunchroom.
- Collaborate with other lunchroom staff and school personnel as needed.
- Assist in other areas as needed during scheduled hours
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 or older
- A Christian who is a member of good standing in a Bible believing church
- High school graduate/some college
- 2 years’ experience working with children in school-related areas preferred
- CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a busy environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow school policies and procedures.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light cleaning tasks.
- Be present for work hours 10:45-1:45pm
