Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced CT scans across diverse clinical settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers. Your expertise will ensure precise imaging for diagnostic evaluation, interventional procedures, and specialized studies such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of radiologic imaging equipment operation, radiation safety procedures, and patient care protocols. Duties
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced radiologic imaging equipment including CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine devices with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT scans, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and interventional radiography procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluation and optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients and staff during all imaging procedures.
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Assist in emergency situations by performing urgent care imaging procedures in high-pressure environments like Level I trauma centers.
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist with specialized training or certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from an accredited program.
- Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment including CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine devices.
- Prior experience working in urgent care settings, emergency rooms, or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols.
- Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, interventional radiography/radiology.
- Strong understanding of medical equipment operation and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care.
