Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role requires advanced neonatal critical care expertise, including ventilator and tracheostomy management in a high-acuity pediatric setting.
Schedule
- Shift available: Both Day Shift & Night Shift(12 hours)
- Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM or 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM
- Hours/Week: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday–Sunday)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to neonates in a Level IV NICU
- Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, and complex neonatal conditions
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and specialized treatments
- Collaborate with NICU team, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff
- Educate families and provide emotional support
- Document care accurately using EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado RN License or Compact License
- BSN required (or ADN with 8 years Level IV NICU experience in a teaching children’s hospital)
- Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
- Ventilator & tracheostomy (trach) experience – REQUIRED
- Certifications:
- BLS
- NRP
- PALS
