- Shift: Night Shift – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Job Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (behavioral health preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, including:
- Antianxiety medications
- Antidepressants
- Antipsychotics
- Mood stabilizers
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders
- Administer medications safely and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, including risk for suicide, self-harm, or violence
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to manage aggressive or unstable patients
- Implement and follow protocols for seclusion and restraints when necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including social services, pharmacy, therapy services, and rapid response teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coping strategies (psychoeducation)
- Respond to medical emergencies, including CPR and cardiac arrest situations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Support a safe and therapeutic environment within a locked psychiatric unit
Pay: $41.66 - $50.17 per hour
