Under general supervision of the Telecommunications Systems Manager I (Supervisor), the Information Technology Associate performs effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities, is the project leader on complex information systems program development and support; performs as an expert in the specialized Internet Protocol (IP) based Public Safety Emergency Communication (PSEC) systems, and functions as a skilled advisor to top level local agency emergency communications leaders.

Working Conditions
Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.
This position is located at the Public Safety Communications Campus in Sacramento, County.

Public Safety Communications (PSC) serves the state of California by providing public safety communications to the state’s first responders and oversight of the 9-1-1 system to the people of California. The PSC is dedicated to the preservation and protection of human life and public safety by delivering reliable and dependable communication services keeping the public connected during times of crisis.
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
