The Assistant Bureau Director serves as a key executive leader responsible for shaping and driving enterprise-wide information technology strategy by providing vision, leadership, and oversight for critical IT functions that support the Department’s mission and operational excellence. The position advises the Bureau Director on enterprise IT direction, policies, and governance frameworks while ensuring programs and initiatives align with departmental standards and regulatory requirements. The role monitors implementation and performance to maintain operational integrity and actively participates in governance forums that influence internal operations and enterprise technology investments. Through subordinate managers, the Assistant Bureau Director directs and coordinates activities across multiple IT domains, including the IT Service Desk, Software and Hardware Asset Management, Business Technology Management, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering. The position champions modernization, process optimization, and technology adoption to improve service delivery and operational efficiency, while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive culture.
