The Grant Services Branch (GSB) within the Office of Fiscal Services (OFS) seeks a motivated, detail-orientated, and forward-thinking individual to join our team on the Tobacco Grant Program (TGP) as a TGP Awarding Specialist. The TGP is an annual grant totaling approximately $30 million dollars that is administered by the California Department of Justice. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the awarding process of this grant.
This position will serve as a lead analyst and subject matter expert overseeing the TGP awarding process, which funds local law enforcement activities across the state for executing activities that aim to reduce the marketing and sales of tobacco products to California’s youth. You’ll work closely with leadership, internal partners, and other subject matter experts to manage and improve all aspects of the annual grant development and award process. You will also join an innovative team that focusses on developing a program using best practices.

You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Serve as a lead analyst and subject matter expert for the Tobacco Grant Program
- Lead the development and implementation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including drafting program materials, supporting outreach efforts, and implementing process improvements
- Collaborate with executive leadership, program staff, and partner agencies to ensure effective program design and delivery
- Analyze legislation, policies, and funding requirements to ensure compliance and inform program improvements
