Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor I (SUP I), the Analyst II (AN II) interprets and applies gambling statutes and regulations in the review and processing of license applications from various gambling business owners, investors, and employees and prepares recommendations for licensure in accordance with the Gambling Control Act and California Code of Regulations. This includes comparative analysis, examination of personal history, and presenting written reports and oral briefings to management regarding recommendations for licensure or administrative action based upon a collective analysis of the information and documentation accumulated during the background investigation.

  • This position is located in the Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Gambling Control, Licensing-Cardroom Owners Unit.
