Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of a Special Agent Supervisor, the Field Representative will independently perform field inspections of cardrooms and tribal casinos to ensure compliance with the Gambling Control Act, Penal Code, Tribal State Compacts, California Code of Regulations Title 4 and Title 11. This involves interpreting statutes, regulations, and compacts relating to gambling; conducting preliminary investigations of allegations of unsuitable methods of operations; preparing inspection and preliminary investigative reports; identifying violations and reporting pertinent information to Compliance and Enforcement or Licensing staff; analyzing problems and offering solutions to supervisory and management staff, as well as writing correspondence related to the field inspection findings. The incumbent will also act as a liaison between the Bureau and various local, state, and federal agencies, and will provide gambling subject matter expertise and assistance to individuals conducting investigations and coordinating investigations with other law enforcement agencies.
