Compensation and Schedule
The compensation range for this role extends up to $71.83 per hour. This is a 12-month assignment scheduled from July 6, 2026, through July 6, 2027. You will work a 4/10 schedule on the first shift. While there is flexibility to work remotely on Mondays or Thursdays, you are expected to be on-site for three days each week, specifically including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, depending on project demands.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated background in creating and refining system specifications, covering performance, interface, and environmental criteria.
- Hands-on expertise in the design, integration, and validation of power electronics circuit cards.
- Skilled in utilizing Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or similar software for schematic capture.
Your Impact
As a Circuit Card Design Engineer, you will manage the full lifecycle of your designs, from the initial concept phase through to layout, verification, and final release. Your work will ensure that every design adheres to critical standards for power distribution, EMI, grounding, isolation, and environmental resilience. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and test engineering teams to streamline procurement and testing, while preparing comprehensive data packages for Design Assurance evaluations. Your key duties include:
- Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise to capture schematics and create EPCAD layouts, implementing superior routing, signal integrity, and EMI reduction strategies.
- Create power distribution circuit card assemblies that help the team meet rigorous performance, thermal, and reliability benchmarks.
- Establish, document, and maintain traceability for system performance, interface, and environmental requirements across the entire project lifecycle.
- Perform trade-off analyses to identify the most effective components, system architectures, and manufacturing methods.
- Prepare comprehensive design data packages, including BOMs, technical drawings, test plans, and verification outcomes, to support Design Assurance reviews and final release.
- Partner with mechanical, software, and test departments to ensure design, procurement, and testing timelines are perfectly aligned.
- Compile necessary evidence and documentation for each Design Assurance milestone to ensure full adherence to program regulations and standards.
- Support the growth of junior team members and help cultivate an inclusive, collaborative atmosphere that prioritizes technical excellence.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in power distribution architecture and system power design.
- Proficiency in techniques related to EMI isolation and grounding.
- Familiarity with the MFC Design Assurance workflow.
- Practical experience using EPCAD for signal routing and layout.
- Understanding of how to perform environmental qualification testing, such as shock and vibration, for electronic hardware.
- Capability to perform trade studies and develop architecture diagrams and requirement documentation.
Education Requirements
Candidates must hold an accredited Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field, supported by at least eight years of professional experience.
