Industrial Equipment Reliability Technician (CNC & Forge) — Fort Wayne, IN
Contract: 6 months | Compensation: up to $30.00/hr | Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
What a night on the floor looks like
As the overnight go-to for complex equipment issues, you’ll diagnose and restore production assets to peak condition. From AC/DC drive faults to hydraulic leaks, you’ll keep CNC lathes and warm forge presses running safely and efficiently so the line never skips a beat.

Your impact
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment (including CNC lathes and warm forge presses).
- Install, maintain, and service electrical components and systems to code, using schematics and blueprints.
- Isolate faults, swap or repair defective parts, and verify proper machine operation.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to avert downtime and optimize performance.
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and findings in maintenance logs.
- Partner with fellow technicians, engineers, and plant teams to resolve root causes and improve processes.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hands-on experience in a production or plant environment; background with CNC machines and mechanical presses is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC drives, servo motors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic prints.
- Proven electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Clear communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Flexibility for shift work and the willingness to work overtime when needed.
