A day in this role
Morning finds you reviewing yesterday’s results, setting up new inspection projects, and assigning the right team members to the right customer sites. By midday, you’re walking the floor at a client facility—coaching inspectors, validating work instructions, and aligning on priorities with plant contacts. In the afternoon, you audit results, resolve nonconforming issues through proper escalation, and capture accurate documentation and timesheets before entering updates into internal platforms. Throughout the day, you keep safety, PPE use, and quality standards front and center—while staying ready to respond to urgent customer needs.

What you’ll oversee
- Lead the daily operations of quality inspection teams across multiple customer locations
- Create, refine, and roll out clear work instructions for inspectors
- Train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to team members
- Verify that quality activities meet project requirements and follow approved instructions
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer communication and relations
- Keep precise records: data sheets, time sheets, and project reporting
- Conduct audits, participate in daily meetings, and update internal systems
- Reinforce procedures, dress code, PPE compliance, and safe work practices
- Escalate nonconforming materials/issues or disputes to management for timely resolution
- Upload and maintain required documentation in project databases within deadlines
- Assign daily inspection tasks and allocate resources for maximum impact
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- At least two years of supervisory/lead experience in automotive manufacturing or automotive quality assurance
- Strong customer-facing communication and B2B relationship skills
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving strength
- Self-driven, adaptable, and positively oriented
- Ability to travel to customer sites on short notice
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing and able to support customers outside standard business hours
- Follow the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) for product, process, and quality systems
- Initiate preventive and continuous improvement actions for product, process, and quality systems
