About The Role
Byrne Electrical Specialists is seeking a motivated and dependable Shipping Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll help ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time, playing a vital part in keeping our operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the timely and accurate shipment of all customer orders.
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring orders are complete and properly labeled.
- Palletize and arrange products on skids according to customer requirements.
- Create and manage shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Customs paperwork, and Packing Slips.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries by communicating with carriers.
- Collect completed products from production lines and bring them to Shipping for assembly and dispatch.
- Maintain flexibility with end times as needed to accommodate late trucks or ensure all shipments are ready for departure.
- Work occasional overtime, which may occur before 9:00 AM or on Saturdays, depending on operational needs.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics setting.
- Experience using root cause problem-solving methods.
- A quick learner who can make sound, independent decisions.
- A continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and quality.
