Job Description
Oversee and manage multiple high-end residential projects in New York and beyond — from design development through installation.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients through clear, proactive communication.
Lead procurement and vendor coordination — issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing logistics through installation.
Review drawings and ensure design intent and execution align
Attend site visits, create detailed follow-up reports
Work closely with the design team and principal to refine and implement design concepts while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
Prepare and organize client presentations, proposals, and supporting documentation.
Maintain organized digital project folders, schedules, and purchasing trackers.
Job Requirements
Must be based in New York City or the Tri-State area (regular site visits required).
5 years of experience in high-end residential design and project management.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Strong understanding of the design and construction process and ability to communicate with trades and vendors.
Experience with procurement, purchasing systems, and vendor relations (Studio Designer).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, professional, and solution-oriented.
Exceptionally organized, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple deadlines across different projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
Knowledge of both contemporary and vintage furniture, materials, finishes, and decorative arts.
Ability to lead internal teams and mentor junior designers.
Beneficial Skills
Experience designing or managing custom furniture and millwork.
Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics.
Valid driver’s license (for regional site visits).
