Job Description:
- A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer-controlled machinery to produce precision components.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to specifications and production requirements.
- Load raw materials, operate equipment, and monitor machine performance for quality compliance.
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure adherence to design and engineering standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
- Document production activities, maintain logs, and report inconsistencies or machined defects.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.
Qualifications:
Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance.
- Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs (with or without accommodation).
- Comfortable working with tools and manufacturing work instructions.
- Ability/willingness to wear PPE.
- Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends.
Nice to Have
- Shop math skills.
- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Ability to use computerized shop-floor tools; basic MS Word & Excel knowledge.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
