Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator

Job Description:

• A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer-controlled machinery to produce precision components.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to specifications and production requirements.
• Load raw materials, operate equipment, and monitor machine performance for quality compliance.
• Inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure adherence to design and engineering standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
• Document production activities, maintain logs, and report inconsistencies or machined defects.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.

Qualifications:

Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs (with or without accommodation).
• Comfortable working with tools and manufacturing work instructions.
• Ability/willingness to wear PPE.
• Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends.

Nice to Have

• Shop math skills.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to use computerized shop-floor tools; basic MS Word & Excel knowledge.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
