Shift: Mid Shift – 3x12 Hours
Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment in West Hollywood, CA. This role focuses on post-anesthesia patient care, ensuring safe recovery following surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients
- Monitor patients recovering from general, regional, and conscious sedation
- Perform continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring
- Assess and manage pain, airway stability, and post-op complications
- Administer IV medications and therapies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams
- Float between PACU and pre-op areas as needed
Required Clinical Skills
- PACU / Post-Anesthesia Recovery
- Conscious Sedation Monitoring
- Cardiac Monitoring & Dysrhythmia Management
- Ventilator Patient Care
- IV Therapy & Medication Administration
- Pulmonary Artery Line Monitoring
- Pain Management (PCA, Epidural, Sedation)
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
License Requirements
- Active California RN License (required at submission)
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- Experience in high-acuity or high-volume settings preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
