About the Role

Burn Boot Camp Troy is looking for an energetic, outgoing, people-first Member Experience & Sales Associate to join our team!

At Burn, we call this position a Burn Ambassador — and it's much more than a front desk role. You'll be one of the first faces our members see and often the very first impression a prospective member has of Burn Boot Camp.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves people, can talk to just about anyone, brings positive energy into a room, and isn't afraid of sales. You'll build relationships with members, connect with prospective members, help grow our community, communicate with leads and members, capture social media content, and help keep the front of the gym running smoothly.

If you're looking for a job where you can sit quietly behind a desk, this probably isn't it. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of the energy, knows our members, celebrates their wins, and helps new people take the first step toward becoming part of Burn Troy.

What You'll Do

• Create an exceptional first impression for every member, prospect, and guest who walks through our doors
• Greet members by name and help create the welcoming, high-energy atmosphere Burn Boot Camp is known for
• Build genuine relationships with members and become an active part of the Burn Troy community
• Connect with prospective members and guide them from their first inquiry through their first Camp and into membership
• Participate in the membership sales process, including presenting membership options, answering questions, overcoming objections, and confidently asking for the sale
• Consistently follow up with leads and trial members through phone calls, texts, and other communication
• Communicate professionally and enthusiastically with current members regarding questions, accounts, events, promotions, and gym updates
• Capture authentic photos, videos, milestones, PRs, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes moments for social media
• Help promote events, challenges, referrals, retail, nutrition products, and other Burn Troy initiatives
• Process retail and nutrition purchases and assist with merchandising and inventory
• Maintain accurate member and prospect information in our systems
• Work closely with trainers and leadership to ensure first-time guests and current members receive an outstanding experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and professional front desk and lobby area
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily front-of-house responsibilities
• Jump in wherever needed — we're a small team, and everyone contributes to making Burn Troy successful

• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Coachable and receptive to feedback
• Proactive — you notice what needs to be done instead of waiting to be asked
• A team player who is willing to jump in and help
• Passionate about creating an incredible member experience

Fitness industry experience is NOT required. Personality, communication skills, work ethic, and the ability to connect with people matter more to us. Sales or customer service experience is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

A great Burn Ambassador doesn't simply complete front desk tasks.

You know the members walking through the door. You notice the new person who looks nervous and make them feel comfortable. You follow up with the trial member who loved Camp. You're excited to tell someone why Burn could be a great fit for them. You celebrate member milestones. You capture the moments happening in the gym. You communicate clearly, follow through on what you say you'll do, and look for ways to make the member experience even better.

Most importantly, you understand that every interaction is an opportunity to make someone feel like they belong here.
