Bullpen is partnered with a highly active real estate private equity platform seeking a Senior Associate to join its growing Austin office.
The firm invests across multiple recession-resistant real estate sectors and has built a strong track record through disciplined acquisitions, operational execution, and value creation. This is an outstanding opportunity for an investment professional looking to play a meaningful role in sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing investments while working directly alongside senior leadership. The position offers exposure across acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, portfolio strategy, and investment committee decision-making.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong real estate investment background, exceptional financial modeling capabilities, and a desire to take ownership within a growing private equity platform.
What You'll Be Doing
- Evaluate and underwrite new acquisition opportunities across multiple real estate asset classes
- Build and maintain complex financial models including acquisitions, developments, recapitalizations, and disposition analyses
- Conduct market research, investment analysis, and due diligence on prospective investments
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior leadership and investment committee discussions
- Support transaction execution including negotiations, diligence coordination, financing, and closing processes
- Work closely with asset management teams to monitor portfolio performance and execute business plans
- Assist with capital markets initiatives, refinancing strategies, and lender relationships
- Analyze hold/sell decisions, recapitalization opportunities, and portfolio optimization strategies
- Collaborate with executive leadership on investment strategy, portfolio construction, and capital allocation decisions
- Interface with brokers, lenders, operating partners, consultants, and third-party service providers
What They're Looking For
- 4β7 years of experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, investments, asset management, investment banking, or related institutional real estate roles
- Experience working for a private equity firm, owner/operator, REIT, institutional investment manager, or real estate investment platform
- Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills
- Strong understanding of real estate valuation, capital structures, debt financing, and investment performance metrics
- Experience evaluating acquisitions and participating in transaction execution
- Ability to manage multiple transactions, investments, and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact directly with senior executives
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to take ownership and drive outcomes
