What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director, Investments & Acquisitions position at Bullpen?
Managing Director, Investments & Acquisitions
π Houston, TX
Build the Next Chapter of a Well-Capitalized Real Estate Platform
Bullpen is partnered with a privately owned real estate investment and development company with more than 25 years of success acquiring, developing, and operating industrial and retail properties across Texas.
Backed by a multi-billion-dollar affiliated operating business and an existing portfolio of approximately 80 assets, the company has substantial capital available for deployment and a mandate to grow.
As the platform enters its next phase of expansion, the firm is seeking a senior investment leader to work directly alongside ownership to source, structure, and execute acquisitions while helping define the long-term investment strategy of the business.
This is a rare opportunity to join an entrepreneurial owner/operator with real capital, significant autonomy, and the ability to build something meaningful.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
β Direct partnership with ownership
β Existing portfolio of ~80 assets
β Significant capital available for deployment
β Opportunity to shape investment strategy
β Ability to build and lead the acquisitions platform
β Exposure across acquisitions, capital markets, development, and portfolio strategy
β Long-term growth path into a broader investment leadership role
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional acquisitions role.
The successful candidate will function as the senior investment professional within the organization, helping drive acquisitions, portfolio growth, capital allocation, and strategic expansion initiatives.
The position combines acquisitions execution, investment strategy, capital markets exposure, and platform-building responsibilities.
You will have the autonomy to pursue opportunities, influence investment decisions, and help determine where and how the company deploys capital over the next decade.
