StevenDouglas is exclusively engaged to seek a driven and analytically rigorous Senior Associate to join our client's investment team. This role is ideally suited for a high-performing professional with 3–4 years of experience at a Big 4 firm within M&A Advisory, Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), or Turnaround & Restructuring. In many ways, this role can be compared to a “Swiss army knife” for the firm — versatile, dependable, and relied upon across every stage of the investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor portfolio company performance against budget, KPIs, and strategic milestones on an ongoing basis
- Support value creation initiatives including operational improvements, bolt-on acquisitions, and go-to-market refinements
- Assist in the preparation of Board materials and participate in periodic portfolio company reviews
- Work alongside operating partners and management teams to identify and address performance improvement opportunities
- Support post-merger integration efforts including systems consolidation, organizational alignment, and synergy tracking across acquired businesses
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of experience at a Big 4 firm in M&A Advisory, Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), or Turnaround & Restructuring / Restructuring & Strategy
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Experience synthesizing complex financial and operational information into clear, concise written materials
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA, CFA, or progress toward either is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface credibly with management teams and advisors
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and a track record of taking ownership
