Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety. 

 Essential Functions

  1. Reviews assigned jobs and corresponding due dates, scheduling workloads. 
  2. Exercises efficiency in programming jobs ahead of time and downloads before next set-up. 
  3. Understands functions and concepts of die design in order to foresee and correct problems. 
  4. Documents all pertinent information in the CAD then files for easy retrieval to reproduce the part as needed. 
  5. Works with other employees to complete jobs. 
  6. Excels in communication with designers and toolmakers. 
  7. Solves problems (i.e., trouble with setting up block or creating new program). 
  8. Innovative in programming and set-ups. 
  9. Trains others and serves as role model, mentor to other CNC operators. 
  10. Assists in the design area with basic turret or press brake drawings as needed. 
  11. Assumes responsibility for the basic maintenance and diagnostic calibrations of the equipment. 
  12. Performs all duties in a safe manner, complying with the safety rules and regulations. 
  13. Maintains a safe and clean work area. 
  14. Uses Axapta software programs to enter time/payroll information, job information, etc. 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from high school or equivalent.  

 Experience and Skills Required: At least three years of recent related mechanical and shop experience, of which a minimum of two years must be related to the EDM/CNC field and one year of BTD related experience which includes the following skills and abilities: 

  1. Strong working knowledge of the tooling process and EDM/CNC machinery. 
  2. Working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production tooling operations, which leads to efficient decision making whether to use a manual or CNC operation to be most productive to a specific application. 
  3. Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production tooling operations. 
  4. Ability to solve problems. 
  5. Strong knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions. 
  6. Must be able to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions. 
  7. Highly self-disciplined and efficient. 
  8. Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 Compensation Salary Range: OTC6 $21.53-30.15 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
