Position Summary:
Join our team as a Building Automation Project Engineer in Sunrise, FL and support large scale medical projects. You’ll work on integrating HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security systems into high-performance buildings, collaborating closely with field teams and clients.
Compensation:
We offer competitive pay, relocation assistance, and signing bonuses for qualified BAS Project Engineers.
- Entry Level: $70,000-$116,000
- Experienced: $116,000-$135,000
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement building automation systems based on project needs
- Integrate HVAC, lighting, security, and energy platforms
- Create system schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences
- Program controllers, sensors, and automation devices
- Support final commissioning and provide technical assistance to field teams and end users
- Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices
- Ensure projects meet safety codes and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with building automation systems (Niagara, Distech, ACAD preferred)
- Knowledge of protocols like BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
- Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, energy, and security systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Degree in engineering or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
