What The Position is About:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Review and process journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll journals
- Maintain general ledger accuracy in compliance with GAAP
- Support the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting
- Process payroll internally or coordinate with an outside payroll provider
- Oversee and maintain detailed job costing to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses and profitability
- Partner with operations and project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial visibility
- Analyze financial results and identify trends to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Support the development and enhancement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting tools
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and coordinate with external accountants to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support reporting for management review
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- 4 years of accounting experience within the construction, contracting, or home services industry
- Payroll processing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
