Job Title: Customer Service/Operations Coordinator
Location: Skokie, IL (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
Pay Range: $65K-$70K (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Customer Service/Operations Coordinator for our client located in Skokie, IL who is within the chemical manufacturing industry. The Customer Service/Operations Coordinator will be brought in on a direct hire basis. Our client is a growing start-up organization that is continuing to build out their operations, accounting, HR, and commercial teams due to ongoing growth and expansion efforts.
The Customer Service/Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting customer operations, order coordination, and cross-functional communication across sales, logistics, operations, and finance. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing organization at an exciting stage and work alongside an experienced leadership team in a collaborative environment.
This position will operate on a hybrid schedule, with employees expected onsite four days per week and remote one day per week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment and available to interview and start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support customer onboarding, account setup, and documentation requests
- Coordinate with customers to develop weekly, monthly, and semi-annual sales outlooks
- Manage order entry, tracking, and customer communications throughout the order lifecycle
- Maintain and update customer databases, key contacts, and account information
- Assist with quotes, proposals, and contract administration processes
- Ensure customer contract provisions and requirements are being met
- Partner cross-functionally with logistics, operations, and finance teams to resolve order, shipping, or billing issues
- Prepare sales presentations, meeting materials, and pipeline updates for leadership
- Track customer requests, action items, and follow-up needs to ensure timely resolution
- Provide administrative and operational support to executive leadership as needed
- Maintain strong communication internally and externally to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Prior experience within the chemical manufacturing industry-REQUIRED
- Ability to thrive in a start-up and fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Must be tech-savvy with strong systems knowledge and the ability to quickly learn new processes and software
- Strong communication and organizational skills required
- Experience supporting customer service, operations, logistics, or commercial teams preferred
