Summary:
Seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with a background in Accounts Payable to step in and support a fast-paced organization during a leave coverage period. This role will focus heavily on accounts payable, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting support while helping improve manual processes and reduce workload for leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing, including clearing invoices from the AP inbox and processing approximately 30–50 invoices daily
- Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and general accounting support
- Enter financial data and journal entries into QuickBooks
- Review and approve POS transactions
- Process payroll-related entries
- Prepare and maintain Excel reports to support accounting leadership and operational reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows
Qualifications:
- Previous accounts payable and general accounting experience required
- Strong month-end close and account reconciliation experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and perform the job requirements with little to no training
