Seeking a strategic, consumer-focused Lead Buyer to drive the Footwear assortment strategy across Direct Channels, with emphasis on Digital. This role balances data analytics, trend insights, and marketplace knowledge to develop compelling product assortments that serve the consumer while achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own seasonal assortment planning and execution for Footwear.
- Use consumer insights, sales data, and marketplace trends to curate product assortments.
- Partner cross-functionally with planning, allocation, marketing, and merchandising teams.
- Lead seasonal buy reviews, manage in-season trading, and optimize assortment performance.
- Ensure alignment across gender, brand, and category to deliver cohesive consumer experiences.
- Present strategies and performance insights to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant experience in merchandising, retail, or digital commerce.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail metrics (e.g., sell-through, margin, AUR, UPT).
- Experience with footwear, apparel, or consumer goods.
- Proven ability to build and execute consumer and data-informed assortment strategies.
- Comfortable presenting in large group settings and managing projects cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of both brick-and-mortar and digital retail environments.
