Duties
- Lead the line during service, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes that align with our culinary standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food handling, knife skills, and meal preparation techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate catering events and special meal services, ensuring timely delivery.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and reporting shortages or issues.
- Uphold excellent food industry practices, including proper food handling, cooking methods, and serving procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant kitchens, preferably with fine dining background or similar upscale environments.
- Strong culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements and dietary aide procedures is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety regulations, and catering operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods are essential.
