Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Support heavy lifting activities related to moving supplies or equipment safely within the kitchen area.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Help with general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to keep the workspace organized.
- Adhere to all health regulations related to food safety management and sanitation practices.
Experience
- Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen support roles is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and basic food handling practices is a plus.
- Experience working in restaurants, catering events, or hotel environments can be beneficial.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations including cleaning routines, food safety standards, and basic culinary support tasks is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary.
