ABOUT THE ROLE:
The People Operations Coordinator is the first line of support for our staff, ensuring seamless and accurate responses to inquiries and requests. This role is essential to the efficient operation of our People Team and requires a customer-service oriented individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of our systems and processes. The Coordinator plays a key role in employee onboarding and offboarding, HRIS maintenance,and the employee experience. This position reports to the Managing Director of the People Operations Team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Issue Intake & Triage:
- Serve as a primary point of contact by managing all incoming issues, including JitBit ticket triage and external inbox monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
People Team Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the People Team, including centralized communications, meeting coordination, logistics management, professional development support, and purchase request/purchase order processing. Maintain office supplies and support progress monitoring and metrics tracking.
Onboarding:
- Manage the full new hire onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for all incoming staff. This includes preparing onboarding materials, coordinating new hire sessions and presentations, reviewing required documentation, preparing return offer letters, and facilitating key system setup.
HRIS Administration:
- Support the ongoing administration of the HRIS by maintaining data integrity, conducting audits, generating reports, and providing technical support to employees. Responsibilities also include employee record management, employment verification processing, and records retention.
Offboarding:
- Oversee the employee offboarding process, ensuring timely system updates, communication with relevant stakeholders, and proper closure of records.
Program Administration:
- Administer key People Team programs, including unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, paid time off management, and background checks for returning staff.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience: 1 years of experience in human resources administration or related field required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in human resources or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
