SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a U.S. commercial strategy integrating sales, marketing, and customer service functions.
- Build a scalable go-to-market strategy to grow our client’s presence across commercial, residential, and specialty channels.
- Partner with the General Manager and the global parent company to align strategy, brand positioning, and product portfolio.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, channel partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Lead the national sales organization to deliver consistent, profitable growth.
- Set performance goals, drive accountability, and strengthen CRM processes for visibility and forecasting accuracy.
- Support key account management and relationship development with architects, contractors, property developers, and design partners.
- Foster collaboration between sales and customer service to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Develop and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
- Oversee all marketing activities, including brand positioning, product launches, digital marketing, and trade events.
- Ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the parent company’s global brand identity.
- Develop targeted campaigns for commercial, multi-family, and residential markets.
- Leverage data and market insights to guide product positioning and pricing strategies.
- Lead the customer service organization to ensure timely, professional, and solution-oriented client interactions.
- Create a customer-centric culture focused on responsiveness, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement systems and feedback loops that enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
- Lead customer presentations and demonstrations of products and solutions.
- Make decisions and drive to quick resolutions on existing customer issues working cross functionally within a framework of delegation of authority.
- Own P&L responsibility for all commercial functions.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance KPIs.
- Ensure effective collaboration with operations and finance to optimize profitability and working capital.
- Hold deep technical knowledge of products and solutions sold within the window coverings industry, including current products from Bloc and competitors.
- Provide regular updates to management and executive team on the execution of the strategy.
- Coach and mentor sales, marketing and customer service team, develop goals, objectives and development plans focused on our core values, aligning revenue and margin targets in addition to performance based personal goals & objectives.
- Develop external training program for the commercial team including new training content related to sales strategies, processes, and other commercial activity.
- Build the professional presence of the commercial team by developing new content, samples, presentations, cases, and other customer-facing material.
- Promote Bloc’s values of craftsmanship, excellence, and integrity throughout the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles, ideally in window coverings, building products, or related manufacturing industries.
- Demonstrated success managing integrated commercial organizations — including sales, marketing, and customer service teams.
- Proven ability to scale U.S. operations and drive double-digit growth.
- Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C market dynamics in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Ability to work and lead a team autonomously.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
