Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, descriptions, and locations for repair and maintenance parts; track all parts entering and leaving the storeroom.
- Parts & Tool Control: Receive, tag, stock, and dispense parts to mechanics; issue tools and maintain accountability for tools used in vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Vendor Coordination: Contact vendors to obtain price quotes, follow up on parts orders, and coordinate service requests to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of parts.
- Cost & Availability Oversight: Ensure parts are available in a cost-efficient manner to support maintenance operations.
- Purchasing & Documentation: Generate and track purchase orders; manage spare parts inventory, maintenance supply replenishment, and work order tracking.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory, work orders, and maintenance activities; perform general administrative tasks to support the maintenance and operations teams.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical & Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to communicate technical or complex information clearly, work effectively with others, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Time Management: Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience supporting parts departments, inventory control, or related operational or administrative functions.
- Physical Conditions:Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
- Salary: $23.00-$27.00 per hour (The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual hourly rate will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience)
